The Ultimate Bucket List

Here I am again blogging!!!

With every blog post I publish, I aim to challenge you to take a moment to think about things a little deeper.

This blog post is no different.

This blog is about bucket lists.

bucket list

Bucket lists contain things you wish to achieve before you die. Sorry for sounding morbid, but sooner or later, we will all die so it’s important to live your life to the full…

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to create a bucket list. They are great because they allow you to dream crazy dreams and give you something to look forward to as you grow older. I have seen a lot of adventurous bucket lists out there which consist of things like:

  • scuba dive the great barrier reef

  • go bungee jumping
  • become a millionaire by the time I’m 30
  • solve a rubix- cube
  • meet Mike Tyson!

I think these things are exciting because they make us feel alive. However, I have noticed that a lot of bucket lists are about making ourselves feel good.

There is nothing wrong with this at all, however, I have a suggestion to make.

Can I invite you to write an additional bucket list? One that benefits others?

For example, before I die I would like to:

  • fund a child’s education
  • invite lonely people to my home
  • randomly pay for someone’s food shopping at the supermarket
  • take someone on a shopping spree
  • make time for an older family member

Think about it. Some of the most inspirational people in history are those who make the wellbeing of others a priority. I encourage you today to start putting a list together and to start working on it straight away.

If you feel comfortable, please leave a comment below listing one thing you would add to your new bucket list.

Until next time.

I admire her fight so I’m getting involved!

So here I am again blogging!

Lot’s of people want things, but do nothing to get what they want. I’ve never really understood it but I guess that’s the way some people are…

A few days ago I received a message from a friend of mine called Sirkka who REALLY wants something and she is doing all she can to get it. I admire her efforts and feel moved to do more than just give- I’ll use THIS BLOG to help.

I’ve leave you with her words…

Hi guys,

I really wanted to share my story and ask for your support (if possible) with everything that is happening.

So….I was recently offered a place at university in Ireland to study as a graduate. I was originally told by the university and the bank that I would be eligible to receive a tuition loan for my four years of study once I had been offered a place on the course. After paying nearly £300 for the entrance exams and applications I was offered a place on the 2nd of August 2012 (which I accepted). This dream was however cut-short by a change in bank policy, which was made nearly a week after I had accepted my offer and which now states that only Irish residents are eligible to receive a tuition loan. I have to raise £6000 in 3 weeks to pay the first half of my yearly tuition and am looking for anyone who might be able to help me, even if it is a small amount.

If you are able to help me you can go to and search ‘This is my dream.’ You should see my picture and my story.

I have attached a link below to help you find it.

Thank you in advance for all your support!

As you know I’m big on university (published my first book entitled, “What They Don’t Tell You about University”), so this story struck a chord in me.

NOT only has Sirkka set up the giving account above, but she’s set up a concert to raise money!

Here are her own words:

So…I am having a fundraiser on the 31st of August to help me raise some of the money I need to go to University. It will be at 7pm in Greenwich (Cutty Sark) and I would love to see you all there. It will be a live music and poetry event so expect to see all your favourite artists!

Expect the likes of…

*Delicia Edgar*

*Veronica Lewis*

And more….

I am asking that you guys pay £5 to get in although if you would like to give more I would really appreciate that too.

Keep an eye on the facebook page:

Thank you all for your support in this.

So, if like me you admire Sirkka’s efforts then please do what you can to help:

  • Give
  • Go to the concert
  • Re-blog this blog
  • Do all of the above!

Until next time.
